About Me

James 1:1 to 27
James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greeting. Acts 12:17

My brethren count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations: Acts 5:41 2 Pet. 1:6 various trials

Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Rom 5:3-5 testing produces

But let patience have her perfect work that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraided not and it shall be given him. 3:17

But let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double minded man is unstable in all his way. 4:8

Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted.

But the rich in that he is made low because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat but it withereth the grass and the flower thereof falleth and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways (beautiful appearance)

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation for when he is tried he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 5:11

Let no man say when he is tempted I am tempted of God for God cannot be tempted with evil neither tempteth he any man.

But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Desires

Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death. Is. 59:4 (Rom. 5:12; 6:23)

Do not err my beloved brethren. (Be deceived)

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning. (John 3:27 Num 23:19 variation)
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth that we should be a kind of firstfruits
Of his creatures. 2 Tim 2:15 Heb. 12:23

Wherefore my beloved brethren let every man be swift to hear slow to speak slow to wrath. (Prov 10:19 Prov 14:17; 16:32)

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God (does not produce)

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls. (abundance)

But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves. (2:14-20)

For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass. (Luke 6:47 mirror)

For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein he being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work this man shall be blessed in his deed. (Gal 2:4; 6:2; 1 Pet 2:16)

If any man among you seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his own heart this man’s religion is vain.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this to visit the fatherless and windows in their affiction and to keep himself unspotted from the world

Proverbs 12:16-25

A fool’s wrath is presently known but prudent man covereth shame. 11:13; 29:11

He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness but a false witness deceit. 14:5 declares.

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword but the tongue of the wise is health. 4:22

The lip of truth shall be established for ever but a lying tongue is but for a moment. 19:9

Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil but to the counsellors of peace is joy. Devise

There shall no evil happen to the just but the wicked shall be filled with mischief 1:33; 1 Pet 3:13

Lying lips are abomination to the Lord but they that deal truly are his delight. 6:17; Rev. 22:15

A prudent man concealeth knowledge but the heart of fools proclaimed foolishness. 13:16

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule but the slothful shall be under tribute. Lazy

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop but a good word maketh it glad. 15:13 ;Is 50:4

Proverbs 10:19-24

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin but he that refrained his lips is wise. Eccl. 5:3

The tongue of the just is as choice silver the heart of the wicked is little worth.

The lip of the righteous feed many but fools die for want of wisdom. Lack. Lit. heart

The blessing of the Lord it maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow with it. Gen 24:35; 26:12

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief but a man of understanding hath wisdom 2:14; 15:21

The fear of the wicked it shall come upon him but the desire of the righteous shall be granted 1:27; Is 66:4 15:8; Matt 5:6

As the whirlwind passeth so is the wicked no more but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. Ps 37:9-10; Ps 15:5

Proverbs 13:3 to 7

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction 21:23 Ps 39:1; James 3:2

The soul of the sluggard desireth and hath nothing but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. 10:4 lazy. Rich

A righteous man hateth lying but a wicked man is loathsome and cometh to shame.

Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way but wickedness overthroweth the sinner 11:3,5,6. Whose way is blameless.

There is that maketh himself rich yet hath nothing there is that maketh himself poor yet hath great riches. One who.

Acts 2:40-41-42-43
And with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
And they continued stedfastly in the aostles doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
Acts 2:18-19-20-21-
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit and they shall prophesy:
And I will shew wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapour of smoke
The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood bfore that great and notable day of the Lord come:
And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 2:24-25-26-27-28
Whom God hath raised up having loosed the pains of death: because t was not possible that he should be holden of it.
For David speaketh concerning him I foresaw the Lord always before my face for is on my right hand that I should not be moved:
Therefore did my heart rejoice and my tongue was glad moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Acts 2:38-39
Then peter said unto them one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost
For the promise is uto you and to your children and to all that are afar off even as many as the lord our god shall call.
King James Version
