Career Biography
Currently Steve is a leader at Talk Fusion
Until 2004, Steven was Director of Professional Services, Online Center of Excellence an online Coaching and Therapy service.
Steven established the London branch of the Institute for Management Studies, a worldwide program of executive briefings for senior managers of major global and UK companies from 1984-2001.
He has a career long interest and involvement in coaching, innovative management and experiential learning for professional, managerial and clinical groups and individuals.
He founded and directed the University of Maryland’s Study in London Program from 1979-1993.
From 1972-1981 he was Associate Director of Antioch University’s Individualized Program in Counseling and Psychotherapy. He was co-founder of the program.
From 1972-1981 he trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist at the Philadelphia Association, founded by R.D. Laing. He is a member of the Association. was in private practice from 1982 –2001 and has been a member of the training committee from 1989-2001.
He has held various teaching posts at the University of Maryland, Richmond College, Windham College and Pennsylvania State University.
Education: He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Queens College in 1963 and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from Pennsylvania State University in 1967. He has lectured and written extensively for professional groups and journals and has published two books and launched a web site (one co-authored with Dr. Leon Redler); Just Listening: Ethics and Therapy, Xlibris/Random House 2001, www.justlistening.com, and The Little Book of Goodness, Booklocker Press 2003.
