Well Mankato is currently a nut house with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings holding training camp at the university.

Its odd to see such rich and famous athletes rolling around the town that you have lived in for a few months now.

My girlfriend and I had ended up going to Blockbuster today to rent some movies and ran into my favorite Vikes player, running back Michael Bennett, and wide receiever Marcus Robinson looking at some PS2 games. Makes sense too, if you were to be holed up at the Holiday Inn for weeks with your teammates, you'd want video games too! (why you dont have games and why you'd rent them however is)

Bennett was in all white with a big old diamond in his ear, Robinson tried to downplay his look by wearing some adidas windbreaking clothes.

I was kind of awestruck. Then we ended seeing some more of them wondering around the Riverhills Mall today too.

I believe I saw Chris Hovan or another defensive tackle (it was far away so I couldnt see the red hair) at a diamond place in the mall today.

Then another one was watching a television highlight in Scheel's shoe department.

Its so funny because they dont want to be bothered (which is reasonable) so they really downplay their clothes but ALWAYS have nice shoes and the "bling bling." Althougth the DT had a nice suit on...

I probably will go and attend one day of the camp this year seeing as its my first training camp year.

I just dont want to get lost in all the craziness of it. I mean there are media trucks here with big satellites, TRUCKS of shit for the Vikings to "eat" and "bring with them" at the Holiday Inn, and its just all so nuts.

My girlfriend is so sick of the Vikes because the whole town went purple and gold and its just all a madhouse. She is not a football fan by any means and pretty much told Michael Bennett that she hates them being here. (embarrassed the hell out of me)

Oh well, I am sure I will update some more as time goes on.
