Hello, does anybody know what happened to the favorite photos and if they will ever be back? I got like hundreds of photos added to my favorites ... Just want to know if I have to start searching them all over again.

Looks like they are rolling out another incomplete, flawed update. I can see the link to favorite photos on some profiles that have the photo page in the old format. users who are victims of the new version get a photo page with the links in a new/different order and - YES THE FAVORITE LINK IS MISSING
In Addition, if you "construct" a link to album -8888 for users who have the new format, it says the facorite album is empty.
I logged off and on again and now can see your 930 favorites so it looks like only some servers have the new [flawed] software.

HEY HI5 - can someone answer this? Is the ELIMINATION of the favorite photos INTENTIONAL??? IS THIS ANOTHER FEATURE SOMEONE AT HI5 DECIDED WAS NOT USED AND COULD BE REMOVED? OR ARE THE CODERS STILL JUST PLAIN C A R E L E S S???

I thought Justin Kruger was in charge of photo albums and image uploads, but maybe it's only the latter. I think he checks this site

This was an error in the release content according to Lou ... same problem as the missing photo links - "QA thought it has been intentionally deleted" - its a major change control issue at hi5. They apparently don't document what is going into, being changed, or being removed from a release. QA has to guess.... No wonder each release is filled with problems..

May favorites are missing also, but if I click on my recent uploaded photos, one of my friends photos appears, when I click on her photo, says 'sorry this album no longer exists' yet I go to her profile/photos and it comes up fine.
You can't change the photo album cover either, there is no longer a drag and drop or set as album cover link either.

they broke the favorite album with this new release - hopefully they have the "album" data and can restore it just by putting the code back in the server.
Photos are located only thru the album function UNLESS you have a url to a specific photo - no album = no photo access.
