Participate in a ground breaking online public dialogue
***REGISTER NOW THRU MAY 4 at www.threshold2008.org*** Public Voices for Housing Choices: Threshold 2008 Online Dialogue is your chance to weigh in and discuss housing and quality of life issues in San Mateo County with your neighbors, coworkers, and housing experts. Our elected officials are listening. Threshold 2008 (www.threshold2008.org) is a nonprofit community-driven effort to make the process of developing housing policies and solutions more inclusive. Open to all who live or work in San Mateo County Registration is open NOW thru May 4 at www.threshold2008.org (The online dialogue will occur from May 5 to May 16) How much does it cost you to live or work in San Mateo County? Were you stuck in traffic on your way to work or home today? Most people do not have time to go to city council and planning commission meetings where housing policy decisions are made and we want your story to be heard. We also want to know how you think a housing shortage affects your community. For instance, do you think the current housing market affects the decisions of teachers, nurses and vital service workers to serve San Mateo County? And what will housing in the county look like in 2025 when it’s projected that there will be 71,000 new households and 133,300 new jobs – who do you think will be able to live and work here? Do you think the county needs more housing? If so, what kinds of developments do you favor and where should we build new homes? Your voice can make a difference for all of San Mateo County. Register to participate at www.threshold2008.org. Posted by Eric Politzer
