Starting this topic for system problems on hi5.
Here's one for today: Comments Temporarily Unavailable We are upgrading the Comments pages. This feature will be back shortly. You will not lose any of your old Comments (This message is on member profiles, and if you try to see profile comments in the admin site you will see an "Ooops" error. We are working on the database and hope it will be live again soon.) Posted by Eric

Hi Victor. Are you asking about Sent "Messages" or Profile Comments? I checked both this morning and did not have a problem, so I'm not sure what you saw when you tried to manage the sent comments. Let me know if you have more trouble or what you are trying to do. Good news for everyone else too: Profile comments are back on member profiles and available in the admin site. Thanks for your patience yesterday!

This appears on the hi5 homepage and the member's profle Status: allows a member to tell others what they are doing today while on hi5. This is the same as the Scrapbook topic and appears on the hi5 homepage Privacy setting for Online status: allows a member to change their "online now" status (everyone, no one, friends only) Thai language options Coming soon: Blocked members cannot view profiles (just like can't send messages or comments) AND new manage photos features, including rearranging photos. Fyi this new release with Online Now, Status, and photo management changes is not "sticky" to individual members. That means that during the roll-out, a member might see the new features on one log in, then the new features are missing on the next log in. This will continue until we are closer to 100% of members...today we are only at 10%.
See the updated canned reply for "new release questions" too. :) Eric Posted by Eric

Fyi about the new release: as of Friday evening we are currently out with the new "Online Now" and "Status" features to 60% of members. Since we are not going to 100% until Monday, I will hold off on the FAQ updates.
Be sure to use the "new release questions" canned reply for any confused folks over the weekend :) Posted by Eric

Fyi again: new release features were temporarily turned off for all users so we can work on a performance issue. They will come back soon :)

We will begin rolling out the new hi5 music player options starting tomorrow, December 20. For this week we will only show these options to 10% of members, with the rest releasing after Christmas. We will have two options for these members: iLike and qloud. This will be similar to the "Widget" options -- members will has a link from their profile to iLike (www.ilike.com) or qloud (www.qloud.com) to install their music player and search for songs to add. That player will then appear on their hi5 profile. The current hi5 music player and songs will be discontinued. Remember not all members will see this for a while so you may not receive many questions at first.
Please see this KB article for information, and to send to members: New Music options at hi5. What happened to the music player? Once we launch the full music service, I will change the other FAQs to include iLike and qloud. Enjoy, Eric Posted by Eric

Admin site updates!
1. Please be sure you are using the regular admin site at: http://www.hi5.com/friend/admin/displayAdminHome.do or http://www.hi5.com/friend/admin/displayContentDashboard.do The problems with looking up email addresses has been fixed. 2. Good news! The "Messages" link on member accounts in the admin site should now be working too. I tested a few accounts and was able to view messages pretty easily, without a long wait or errors. Please use this feature again, especially when verifying flags for harassment. Let me know if you have new problems. Thanks for your patience on these fixes! Posted by Eric

The site changes that include "Status" on the homepage and "Online Now" on the profile page are going out again to members. This also changes the Scrapbook feature to match the "Status." We are currently at ~10% and will increase by this weekend. Please refer to the screenshots I sent last month when we did the temporary launch and my posting above from December 13-14.
I will update the FAQ articles when we are at 100% Posted by Eric
